The documentary film “THE RESPONSIBLE” investigates the role of pro-government media in Serbia during the 1990s wars and their reporting practices today, questioning how much—if at all—they have changed over the decades. By drawing parallels between wartime propaganda and contemporary media narratives, the film exposes ongoing manipulations and explores which social groups are most affected by the messaging of pro-government outlets and tabloids. In 2023, THE RESPONSIBLE was recognized by SEENPM as one of six must-watch documentaries on media and journalism from the Western Balkans.

The film "EHO" shows contemporary Serbian society through the lens of the "Dr. Laza Lazarevic" psychiatric hospital. Through the story of female patients and their experience of the world, the film raises the question of what it means to be "healthy" in a time of social breakdowns, wars and loss of value, as well as their struggle to join the socially accepted perception of reality, which in Serbia in 2006 is unstable and disturbed. In parallel, the process of creating a theatrical performance inside the hospital is being followed, as an attempt to connect with reality - and escape from it.

These topics are: our heritage from the past and what the future brings, what are the obstacles for the better future of young people, exposing the newly-formed myth about the so-called “Serbian heroes” …
The film seeks an answer to the question: where are Serbia and Republika Srpska in relation to Europe and European integration? Citizens are faced with a choice - between the path to the EU and the path to isolation.
The authors point to the conditions for European integration, the importance of cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, the debunking of myths about war heroes and the influence of political and criminal lobbies. In addition to Serbia and Republika Srpska, the film was also shot in Slovenia, comparing the Slovenian experience with the current situation in Serbia and Montenegro.
A documentary film about the Hague tribunal’s most famous indicated persons – Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic. The authors of the film tried to answer the following questions: who “discovered” Karadzic and promoted Mladic, who supported them during the war, who is responsible for the birth of the myth about them in post-war Bosnia? Did they always obey the former president of Serbia, Slobodan Milosevic, and which of them did he favor? Why does a certain number of people call Karadic and Mladic national heroes and would it be in the interest of the people and Republika Srpska if they were to surrender themselves to the Hague Tribunal?

The film represents an attempt to answer the following question: Did the academicians of Serbia, the intellectual elite of the nation, clear the way for nationalism and Slobodan Milosevic?

The documentary feature film is based on the fundamental idea of drawing a parallel between Orwell’s novel 1984 and the situation in Serbia in 2000, before the overthrowing of Milosevic’s regime on October 5th, 2000, of course. The main role is played by Ljubivoje Tadić.

Using a combined form of documentary and feature film, this film shows how the regime of Slobodan Milosevic resorted to corruption, fraud, and embezzlement against its own people. The basis of the film consists of stories about banks that the Serbian regime has created with the single aim of snatching money away from the people in the easiest possible way.
